SABUDANA VADA RECIPE

Sabudana vada is one of those recipes that is made during religious fasting. .......Sireasly speaking guys I never heard of this recipe but my neighbors told me about the importance of this recipe as in hindus the food that is taken during the fast do not contain onions, garlic, wheat products or pulses. this sabudana vada snack can also be made during other times. its crispy and delicious and can be made as a morning or evening snack with in few minutes..........................


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup sabudana ( tapioca pearls )
  • 4 medium potatoes.
  • 1/2 cup peanuts ( mungphali )
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds ( jeera )
  • 1-2 green chillies, finely chopped ( hari mirch ) 
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, finely chopped ( adrak )
  • 2 teaspoon lime juice 
  • few chopped coriander leaves, ( dhania patta ) 
  • 1.5 teaspoon sugar or as required 
  • 3 tablespoon buckwheat flour 
  • rock salt 
  • oil for frying 


HOW TO PREPARE RECIPE

  • Soak the sabudana in water for 5 hours at least or overnight. I soaked it overnight and in the morning they had become very soft. 
  • Drain of all the water completely from the soaked sabudana.
  • Boil the potatoe. Peel and then mash them. Mix the mashed potatoes and sabudana together. 
  • On a skillet or in a shallow pan, roast the groundnuts/peanuts till they become crisp. Cool and then coarsely powder in a dry grinder. 
  • Add the peanuts, salt, sugar, ginger, green chillies, coriander leaves and lemon juice. Mix the entire mixture well. 
  • Now take some portion of the mixture in your hands and shape them into flat round vadas or patties. Do this till all the mixture is utilized.
  • Deep fry the sabudana vadas till golden brown. Serve sabudana vada with green chutney. you could also serve sabudana vada with tomato sauce..........

HOT SPICY PALAK KEBAB

The wind was cool, the leavas on the trees were dancing, and when it's such weather we celebrate it with a cup of tea and deep fried pakodas or kebabs. When I went to the kitchen, I decided to make palak kebabs. I had not made them before, but had read the recipe sometime back in a magazine and remembered to make the perfect kebabs. I hope you will also like this Hot............Spicy...........Palak Kebabs.

INGREDIENTS 


  • 3 bunch spinch leaves
  • 3 bread slices, crumbled 
  • 1 onion, finely chopped 
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds 
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 
  • A few cubes of paneer, crumbled 
  • 1/2 tsp lime juice 
  1. 1/2 tbsp corn flour
  • 1/2 tbsp rice flour 
  • 1 tbsp fine semolina
  • salt to taste
  • oil for deep frying 

 HOW TO PREPARE......................................

  1. Wash the spinach leaves and remove the stalks. chop finely ......
  2. In a deep pan, heat 1 tbsp.of oil. Add cumin seeds and spinach leaves. saute for a few minutes and remove from fire. Grind to a fine paste. 
  3. In a bowl, add the spinach paste and rest of the ingredient. Make a firm paste. If required, add a little more cornflour. 
  4. Preaper small round and flatten them lightly between your palms to make small patties. 
  5. Heat oil for frying in another wok.
  6. Deep fry the patties to till brown.
  7. Sprinkle with chaat masala and serve hot with lime wedges and hot piping tea.

METHI PAKODA ......DURING WINTER

During winter season most of the people like to have hot ..spicy snack with tea or a coffee,so you can try this spicy snacks recipe. The flavour and bitterness of the methi leaves complement perfectly with the besan and onion and spices in the pakoda batter. these methi pakodas don't take longer than 15 minutes from start to finish so make some if you are looking for a good snacks recipe..........hot.........crispy..............



INGREDIENTS

  •  1 Cup of fresh methi leaves, cleaned and chopped....
  • 3/4 cup of besan / gram / maavu 
  • 1 tsp of red chilli powder 
  • 1/2 tsp hing / 1 onion, sliced thin 
  • 1/2 tsp of powdered jeera.
  • 1/4 tsp of ajwain 
  • 1 tsp of salt ( adjust to taste )
  • 1 tsp of rice flour /rava.
  • 2-3 cups of oil for deep frying ( depending on size of your pan )

HOW TO PREAPRE............................

  1.   Mix besan, onions, salt, chilli powder, ajwain, jeera, and hing well together...
  2.   Add enough water to make a thick batter. Also mix in the methi leaves. The batter should be     thick enough for you to form a loose, sticky ball with your fingers.   
  3.   Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil. You can also use your hands to drop small balls of batter into the oil. Don't overcrowd the oil temperature will drop too much and the pakods will drink too much oil.
  4. Fry until golden brown, drain, and set aside. proceed until you use up all the batter. 
  5. Drain and set aside on a plate lined with a kitchen towel 
  6. serve methi pakoda hot with ketchup or mint chutney.

CHEESE GARLIC BREAD WITHIN 10 MINUTES

       Most of the people don't like to have garlic and even my sister also don't like much, now for them I came up with a new idea so that you people will start liking a garlic dishes by using cheese on a bread. It's an easy recipe with bread, butter, cheese, and chili flakes.



INGREDIENTS

  • take  bread slices as much as you won't
  • 4 tbsp of butter 
  • 1/2 tsp of salt 
  • 2.5 cups of granted cheese 
  • 3 tsp of chilli flakes
  • 6-8 clovers of garlic 

HOW TO PREPARE.......................

1. Heat your oven to 300F / 180C.
Slice the bread into pieces 
2. Mix the chorp garlic and butter along with salt if you are using 
    unsalted butter. that's why I use Amul salted butter and it was  delicious.... 
3. Add the grated cheese on top and garnish with chilli flakes. add some more cheese.
4. Bake in the pre-heated oven for about 5-6 minutes until the edges of the bread slices turn crisp and the cheese melts. Don't let it sit in there too much even thought you are tempted because if you over - bake them, they turn out rusk when slightly cool.
5. Use a baking tray ....than put them on oven...
          And we are done ........! Hot,Spicy, Cheesy garlic bread is ready in 10 minutes !!!............

I...hope most of the people like to have hot, spicy snacks during winter season.As the climate is too cold and you want to have hot recipes so, you can prepare it within 15 to 20 minutes. when you are too hungry and there is no snacks at home that you could immediately bite into.......so you can try this recipe .....hot ALOO TIKKI'S with chutney or  tomato soas..............

                   INGREDIENTS

2 medium potatoes, grated (about 3 cups)
A bunch of fresh coriander leaves, chopped.
1 tsp jeera
2 green chillies, chopped
1 generous pinch (hing)
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 to 2 tbsp besan/ bengal gram powder / maava.
salt to taste.
oil for shallow frying......


How to prepare.........

1..Grate the potatoes and squeeze out excess moisture.
2..Place in a bowl and add the other ingredients in except oil.
3..mix well.
4..Shape into flat patty shapes on the palm of your hand.
5..Shallow fry in a wide pan until golden brown on both sides.
6..And serve this hot, spicy recipes with chutny or soas........
